⚠️CRITICAL BUG WORKAROUND (PLEASE READ BEFORE PLAYING)⚠️

Since we are currently in the jam voting phase, I can't update the game file to fix this bug! If you encounter issues with camera 1 during the delivery phase, you can easily bypass it by:

  • Switching to camera 2 and only use that camera angle for now

Thank you so much for playing and for your patience during voting!

You make your living as the local Vespa postal service earning your keep by accepting delivery orders from your neighbors and navigating winding roads and bustling city centers all to safely ship them off.

When you successfully deliver packages, you unlock new upgrades for your service, such as being able to accept higher volumes of requests, licenses to ship more unique products, and more. However, you need to keep an eye on your limits as you can only carry so much at a time - plus you have delicate cargo that needs to be handled with care, otherwise you may lose your shipments!

Instructions:

Driving Controls

Action Primary Key Alternative
Accelerate / Drive W Up Arrow
Brake / Reverse S Down Arrow
Steer Left / Right A / D Left / Right Arrow
Toggle Camera View 1 or 2

What I Learned

I wanted to include this section more as a personal note of my game development journey. This was my first game jam and I feel like I learned sooo much! I created a list along the way of what I've taken away from this.

  • Better understanding of physics both in general and how it works in unity
  • Learned more about how cars work (lol)
  • How to spawn items randomly within a given space
  • Additive scene loading
  • Generally,
    • Better workflow to manage projects/project scope
    • Improved Blender skills
    • Improved Procreate skills for drawing game assets
    • Time management of MVPs/nice-to-haves and how long to spend on each thing
